Political Attraction Headlines $317,400 Remington Park Derby

The Apollitical Jess gelding is the 5-2 morning-line favorite in Saturday's co-feature.

Political Attraction, a sorrel son of Apollitical Jess owned by Rogelio Marquez Jr. and Kathy Robinson and the fastest qualifier, will put his five-race win streak on the line in Saturday's 400-yard, $317,400 Remington Park Derby (RG3) for Oklahoma-bred 3-year-olds.

Trained by Amanda Tongay, Political Attraction made his season debut with a clear 1 3/4-length victory in his Remington Park Derby trial on April 8. The gelding's streak includes a 1 1/2-length score in the July 29, 350-yard Speedhorse Futurity (G3) at Fair Meadows at Tulsa, and a neck victory in the September 24, 350-yard Black Gold 350 Futurity (RG3) at Will Rogers Downs.

Political Attraction drew post 2 and will be ridden by James Flores.
