Arizona Favorite Draws Post 7 for $33,400 Grants Pass Firecracker Futurity

The stakes placed gelding is one of eight juveniles entered back in Wednesday's feature at the Oregon track.

Eight 2-year-olds have been entered back in Wednesday's Grants Pass Firecracker Futurity.

Arizona Favorite, a stakes-placed homebred son of Favorite Cartel racing for K and R Allred Ranch LLC, drew post 7 for Wednesday’s 350-yard, $33,400 Grants Pass Firecracker Futurity at Grants Pass Downs.

One of three finalists qualified by leading trainer Hector Magallanes, Arizona Favorite has earned $6,825 from three starts this season, and his resume includes a second-place finish, 1 1/4 lengths behind winner Ladys A Cartel, in the 300-yard, $33,000 Pot O’ Gold Futurity at Sun Downs in Kennewick, Washington.

Eduardo Gutierrez-Sosa has been named to ride Arizona Favorite.
