Saturday's Governor's Cup Futurity trials at Los Alamitos have drawn 43 juveniles.

Striver, a graded stakes placed daughter of champion Foose owned by Juan Carlos Chavez, is one of 43 2-year-olds entered in Saturdays' 350-yard Governor's Cup Futurity (RG2) trials at Los Alamitos.

Trained by Scott Willoughby, Striver is coming off of a ninth-place finish, 2 1/2 lengths behind winner Wave Her Down, in the 350-yard, $1.06-million Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1) on June 24. The filly has earned $79,561 from five races, all at Los Alamitos, and her record includes a second-place finish, three-quarters of a length behind winner Wicked Affair, in the May 20, 300-yard Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity (G2).

Striver drew post 7 and will be ridden by Carlos Huerta in the first of six trials.

Rosenthal Ranch's Powerful Favorite will be making his first start since June 24, when the gelded son of Favorite Cartel ran seventh in the Ed Burke Million. Trained by Chris O'Dell, Powerful Favorite drew post 4 and will be ridden by Eduardo Nicasio in the fourth heat.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the July 28, $380,000 Governor's Cup Futurity final.
