Ima China Rush, a stakes winner during the Remington Park spring meet, is one of 28 3-year-olds entered in Saturday’s 350-yard Speedhorse Derby trials at Fair Meadows at Tulsa.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the July 28, $25,000-added Speedhorse Derby final.

Ima China Rush is a homebred daughter of Rushago trained by Guillermo Valdivia for owner Sherry Gilmore. The sorrel filly is coming off of an upset victory at odds of 18-1 in the 350-yard, $55,000 Jack Brooks Stakes (R) for Oklahoma-bred sophomores at Remington Park on May 28.

Ima China Rush drew post 6 and will be ridden by Rolando Raudales in the first of four trials.

Tempting Annie GL, a homebred daughter of champion Tempting Dash owned by the Garza Laurel Partnership LLC, drew post 7 and will be ridden by James A. Flores for trainer Rick Robinson in the fourth heat. Tempting Annie GL has earned $45,617 from nine outs, and her three wins include a 1 3/4-length victory in last year’s 350-yard, $48,000 John Deere Will Rogers Juvenile Challenge Stakes at Will Rogers Downs.
