Joe Rios’ Suze Returns, a sorrel daughter of High Rate Of Return trained by Juan Carlos Gonzalez, is the 3-1 morning-line favorite for Sunday's 350-yard, $1-million Ruidoso Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

The overall second-fastest qualifier, Suze Returns has won all three of her starts, including the April 14, 300-yard West Texas Futurity (G2) at Sunland Park, and she has earned $136,818. The filly drew post 9 and will be ridden by Jaime Parga Leos as she attempts to become only the fourth horse to sweep the West Texas and Ruidoso futurities: the others were Treacherously (1993), Haulin Pass ('96) and Leading Spirit (2005).

Flash And Roll, the fastest overall qualifier, drew post 10 and will be ridden by G.R. Carter Jr. for owner Scott Bryant of Midland, Texas, and trainer Mike Joiner. A $200,000 purchase at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, the brown daughter of champion First Moonflash made her debut with a 1 1/2-length victory in her Ruidoso Futurity trial on May 25.

Flash And Roll is out of Stylish Jess Br, a multiple Grade 1-winnning daughter of Feature Mr Jess and the sport's champion aged mare in 2009.

“She came back from her trial really well,” said Joiner of Flash And Roll. “I’m satisfied and happy. I like being next to Suze Returns (because) she’s got the experience.”

The Ruidoso Futurity is the first leg of Ruidoso Downs' All American Futurity Triple Crown, which pays a bonus to the connections of a 2-year-old who can win the Ruidoso, Rainbow (G1), and All American (1) futurities. The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments and morning-line odds:
One Famous Stone (Jose A. Alvarez), 15-1
Jest Famous (Ricky Ramirez), 9-2
Tempting Special (Agustin Silva), 6-1
PJ Splash Of Joy (Manuel Gutierrez), 20-1

Corona Squared (Omar Reyes), 10-1
The Runaway Favorite (Edwuin Lujan), 12-1
