Wicked Affair Headlines Ed Burke Million Futurity Trials

The graded stakes winner is one of 92 2-year-olds entered in Sunday's trials at Los Alamitos.

Ninety-two juveniles, headed by graded stakes winner Wicked Affair, have been entered in Sunday's Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1) trials at Los Alamitos.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from Sunday's 11 350-yard heats will meet in the June 24, $1,06-mlllion Ed Burke Million Futurity final.

A homebred daughter of One Sweet Jess trained by Terry Knight for owner Legacy Ranch Inc., Wicked Affair has earned $140,341 from three outs, and her two wins include a three-quarter length victory in the 300-yard, $321,800 Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity (G2) on May 20. The filly will be ridden by Jesus Rios Ayala in the sixth heat.

Thirty-two of the 92 2-year-olds entered in the Ed Burke Million trials are recent maiden winners, including Juan Carlos Chavez's Striver, the runner-up in the Kindergarten Futurity. Trained by Scott Willoughby, the daughter of champion Foose will be ridden by Cesar Franco from post 3 in the seventh trial.

Ms Ko is coming off of a third-place finish, 1 1/4 lengths behind Wicked Affair, in the Kindergarten. Trained by Ricardo Guillen for owner Norma Cano, the sorrel Corona Cartel filly will be ridden by Jonathan Roman in the fifth heat.
