Cat Daddys Lil Girl, Rallydownthealley Return in Mountain Top Futurity

Ten New Mexico-bred juveniles have been entered back in Saturday's feature at Ruidoso Downs.

Graded stakes finalists Cat Daddys Lil Girl and Rallydownthealley are among the 10 New Mexico-bred 2-year-olds entered back in Saturday’s 350-yard, $345,655 Mountain Top Quarter Horse Futurity (RG3) at Ruidoso Downs.

The fifth-fastest qualifier, Cat Daddys Lil Girl is coming off of a neck victory as the 9-10 favorite in one of 10 trials on June 1. The homebred gray daughter of Big Daddy Cartel has banked $35,489 from three starts, and her resume includes a fourth-place finish, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner Zee James, in the 300-yard, $396,000 New Mexican Spring Futurity (RG2) at Sunland Park on April 7.

Cat Daddys Lil Girl drew post 7 and will be ridden by Mauro Salcedo for owners Jimmy Negrete and Jimmy Vasquez and trainer Donna McArthur.

Rallydownthealley is a bay son of Big Daddy Cartel trained by Isidro Rodriguez for owner Diamond Racing Stables LLC. The colt has earned $27,561 from three races, and his record includes a fifth-place finish, 1 3/4 lengths behind winner Zee James, in the New Mexican Spring Futurity.

Rallydownthealley drew post 3 and will be ridden by Esgar Ramirez.

Fastest qualifier Another Chick Flick broke her maiden with a one-length victory in the third Mountain Top Futurity trial. The gray daughter of champion First Moonflash is trained by Wes Giles for owner Joe K. Rios.

Cipriano Vidana will ride Another Chick Flick from post 4.
