Fastest Qualifier Allyson Wonderland Draws Post 10 for $50,000 Cowboy State Futurity

The homebred filly is the early favorite for Energy Downs' Saturday feature.

Ten 2-year-olds have been entered back in Saturday's Cowboy State Futurity at Energy Downs.

Blaine S. Bateman’s Allyson Wonderland, a homebred daughter of Apollitical Jess and the fastest qualifier, drew post 10 for Saturday’s 350-yard, $50,000 Cowboy State Futurity at Energy Downs.

Allyson Wonderland has earned $3,145 from three starts, and her two wins include a three-quarter length victory as the 6-5 favorite in the last of five trials on June 9. Jesus Valenzuela will ride the filly on Saturday.

Betelgeuse, a sorrel son of First Moonflash trained by Martha Maldonado for owner Giovanni Ortiz, drew post 4 and will be ridden by Jose Guzman. A finalist in the May 20, 330-yard Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Futurity at Pocatello Downs, the colt has banked $2,690 from three outs.
