Four Corners Futurity Rescheduled for July 1 at Albuquerque Downs

The stakes was originally scheduled to be run on June 17 at SunRay Park.

Press release

Albuquerque Downs will host the Four Corners Futurity for 2-year-old Quarter Horses on July 1.

The 350-yard, $96,589 Four Corners Futurity for 2-year-old Quarter Horses has been rescheduled and will be run at Albuquerque Downs on Sunday, July 1.

A mainstay on the stakes schedule at SunRay Park near Farmington, New Mexico, the Four Corners Futurity was originally scheduled to be run on June 17, closing day of that track’s 33-day meet. However, unsafe track conditions caused by a morning rain storm forced SunRay Park management to cancel the last seven races on its closing-day program, including the Four Corners Futurity.

The Four Corners Futurity will be the sixth race on Albuquerque Downs’ 10-race Sunday card, which gets underway at 1:30 p.m. (MDT). Estimated post time for the stakes is 3:35.
