BH Lisas Boy, Zoomin For Spuds Return in Moonist Handicap

Sunday's feature at Los Alamitos has drawn six aged sprinters.

Bill Hoburg's BH Lisas Boy and Jim Walker's Zoomin For Spuds, the winner and runner-up, respectively, of the February 11 Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1), are among the six aged sprinters entered in Sunday's 400-yard, $27,500 Moonist Handicap at Los Alamitos.

The 8-5 morning-line favorite, BH Lisas Boy is a homebred 6-year-old Mighty Invictus gelding whose 2017 campaign included victories in the Los Alamitos Winter Championship and Vessels Maturity (G1). BH Lisas Boy drew the rail posta and will be ridden by Cesar DeAlba.

Zoomin For Spuds is a homebred 5-year-old son of Zoomin For Bux trained by Monty Arrossa. The sport's champion 3-year-old gelding in 2016, Zoomin For Spuds' 4-year-old campaign included a third-place finish, a half of a length behind longshot winner Mr PYC To You, in the 440-yard, $750,000 Champion of Champions (G1).

Zoomin For Spuds drew post 3 and will be ridden by Jesus Rios Ayala.
