Strawfinders Jessee is 126-Pound Highweight in Miss Princess
The 5-year-old One Sweet Jess mare heads a field of eight distaffers in Sunday's Los Alamitos feature.

Strawfinders Jessee, a 5-year-old One Sweet Jess mare owned by C.K. and Laurel Allen, heads a field of eight fillies and mares entered in Sunday's 350-yard, $50,000 Miss Princess Handicap (G3) at Los Alamitos.
Trained by John Cooper, Strawfinders Jessee has been assigned top weight of 126 pounds and has been made the 5-2 morning-line favorite by track linemaker Ed Burgart. The homebred mare is coming off of a nose victory in the 350-yard, $18,000 Mini Rock Handicap on April 7, and her season resume includes a third-place finish, a neck behind winner Kiddy Up Cowgirl, in the 400-yard, $100,000 Charger Bar Handicap (G1) on January 7.
Strawfinders Jessee drew post 5 and will be ridden by Cesar DeAlba.
Other contenders include EG High Desert Farms' Jess Hawk, a homebred 4-year-old daughter of One Sweet Jess trained by Jesus Nunez. Jess Hawk ran second to Strawfinders Jessee in the Mini Rock, and her season race record includes a third-place run, a neck behind Bh Lisas Boy, in the 400-yard, $157,000 Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1) in February.
Jess Hawk drew post 8 and will be ridden by Cruz Mendez.
