Harley Greene Derby Headlines All-QH Program at Indiana Grand

The $90,100 stakes is the main event on the track's eight-race program on Saturday.

A field of 10 state-bred 3-year-olds, headed by fastest qualifier Kitty Sixup, has been entered back in Saturday's 350-yard, $90,100 Harley Greene Derby (R) at Indiana Grand.

Indiana Grand's all-Quarter Horse program, its first of the season, gets underway at 6:05 p.m. (EDT).

Kitty Sixup is a gray son of Sixes Liaison owned by Deane Lehman and trainer Erin Thompson. The gelding is coming off of a neck victory in the first of two Harley Greene Derby trials on May 19.

Kitty Sixup drew post 6 and will be ridden by Samuel Mendez. Other contenders include second-fastest qualifier Dna Dalesblackbeauty, a black Brookstone Bay filly and the 5-2 morning-line favorite. Dna Dalesblackbeauty has earned $15,140 from eight outs, and her season resume includes a second-place finish to Kitty Sixup in her Harley Greene Derby trial.

Dna Dalesblackbeauty drew post 2 and will be ridden by Rodney Prescott for owner DNA Quarter Horses LLC and trainer Randy Smith.

Also, two sets of trials will be contested on Saturday. A total of 34 Indiana-sired 2-year-olds has been entered in four 300-yard Gordon Mobley Futurity (R) trials. Nachito Coronel, a homebred son of Habits Secret trained by Ricardo Martinez for owner Patricia Del Rocio Lopez, is the 2-5 morning-line favorite in the fourth heat. The sorrel gelding made his debut with a wire-to-wire, one-length victory in a 300-yard, $16,000 maiden-special-weight dash for Indiana-bred 2-year-olds on May 9.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the June 16, $150,000-est. Gordon Mobley Futurity final.

Saturday's 300-yard Jaguar Rocket Futurity (R) trials have drawn 27 Indiana-bred juveniles, topped by First Dash Of Carona. A daughter of Bodacious Dash trained by Anthony Cunningham for owners Pattie Marshall and Craig Zeneberg, the filly is coming off of a clear 1 3/4-length victory against open maiden-special-weight company at Indiana Grand on May 18.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $100,000-est. Jaguar Rocket Futurity final on June 16.
