Squirrel Account earns another top ranch award.

Mark Voss of Stamford, Texas, rode Squirrel Account to a Top Horse award at the WRCA Wild Horse Prairie Days ranch rodeo, held June 2-3 in Haskell, Texas.

Squirrel Account is an 8-year-old sorrel gelding by Mr Boonsmal To You and out of the CD Olena mare Squirrel Tooth Alice. Bred by Glade Knight of Weatherford, Texas, the gelding is owned by Ranching Heritage Breeder Swenson Land & Cattle Co. of Stamford, Texas.

“Squirrel” has earned more than $2,500 in Ranch Horse Association of America competition, and helped Carroll Jack Lewis to win the cowboy division at the 2015 RHAA National Finals.

The rodeo was won by Burns Ranch of Henrietta, Texas.

The Working Ranch Cowboys Association hosts ranch rodeos across the West culminating in the World Championship Ranch Rodeo, which is November 10-13 in Amarillo. The WRCA works to showcases the skills of the working ranch cowboy and to raises money funds for the WRCA Foundation, which provides scholarship assistance and crisis assistance to working ranch cowboys and their immediate family.
