Coffee With the Curator
Coffee With the Curator

Coffee with the Curator is a monthly mid-morning program exploring the American Quarter Horse history and industry. We invite you to join Museum Curator Emily Kelley every third Wednesday, at 10am, for an informal presentation and discussion over coffee.
Topics change monthly, giving attendees a new experience with every visit. Follow us on social media or check back to see what’s next.
January
For the inaugural Coffee with the Curator, we’d like to introduce you to the people behind the American Quarter Horse! Join us for interesting stories and history of the American Quarter Horse Association, Foundation and Hall of Fame & Museum, and the role the Amarillo community plays in our horse’s success.
February
This month, we will explore the role of the American Quarter Horse in the US Army remount program, featuring the Buffalo Soldier cavalry units and historic artifacts.
March
In March, we’re celebrating the women of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame. From breeders to artists, these legends helped shape the breed and the industry.
The Coffee with the Curator program is included with regular admission to the museum.
Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.
