Our Mission – to empower AQHA members with enhanced educational opportunities that strengthen leadership within the American Quarter Horse industry. The American Quarter Horse Foundation Scholarship Program is dedicated to supporting well-rounded, driven, and deserving students who are shaping the future of our industry. Our objective is to recognize students who exemplify the values of leadership, service and personal integrity, with emphasis on the Three C’s of Leadership Development – Competence, Character, and Commitment. Recipients are selected through a balanced review of academic achievement, financial need, and an applicant’s connection to the American Quarter Horse industry.
Since 1978, the Foundation has awarded more than $10 million in scholarships. Each year, more than 50 scholarships are presented to students who demonstrate both purpose and a passion for the American Quarter Horse and equine industry. Awards range from $1,000 to $50,000.
With the support of our generous donors, AQHF expands access to higher education and advanced training opportunities – both nationally and internationally. Together, we create life-changing opportunities that develop future professionals, strengthen communities, and secure a sustainable future for the American Quarter Horse.
