Exhibitors at the 2018 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show have shined their boots and dusted off their hats for the first day of competition at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. More than 3,500 entries from the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark and Luxembourg are competing for 42 world championship titles at this year’s show. For the first time in Ford Youth World history, our youngest competitors will also be vying for world champion honors in seven core 13-&-Under classes. Classes begin at noon on Thursday, August 2 in the Jim Norick Arena with finals in Level 3 and Adequan® Level 2 aged mares.
“We are excited to see the hard work and dedication these youth members have put in for the Ford Youth World,” said Craig Huffhines, AQHA executive vice president. “AQHA wishes everyone the best of luck and looks forward to a great week!”
The Ford Youth World has a variety of events and activities for competitors, friends, family and spectators to take part in throughout the show. The Parade of Teams, Collegiate Horsemanship Championship, AQHYA Judging Contest, college fair, speech contests, fashion show and Nutrena Ride the Pattern clinics are just a few of the events the Ford Youth World has to offer.
