Versatility Ranch Horse and Ranching Heritage Challenge

Browse the following links to find AQHA patterns for Versatility Ranch Horse and Ranching Heritage Challenge classes.

Versatility Ranch Horse and Ranching Heritage Challenge ranch reining classes have seven set patterns, where the horse is judged on spins, circles, lead changes, rollbacks, sliding stops and backing. There are three optional set ranch riding patterns for VRH and RHC competition; in these individually worked patterns, judges look for relaxed, responsive horses with soft and cadenced gaits. The horse should make timely transitions in a smooth and correct manner, plus the horse should be soft in the bridle and yield to contact.
