American Quarter Horse Permanent Exhibit
The Hall of Fame Timeline Exhibit is the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame’s permanent exhibit. The Timeline begins with the re-introduction of the horse to the North American continent by Spanish explorers. From there, it outlines events that shaped the breed and AQHA in historical context. Within the timeline, Hall of Fame inductees are placed in the era that they most impacted the American Quarter Horse breed and AQHA itself. The current year’s Hall of Fame inductees are featured in separate cases. Visitors can see artifacts from each inductee’s private collection that he or she consider important to their story.
This area also highlights the current winner of the AQHA Best Remuda Award, which recognizes outstanding performance by a working ranch remuda. A remuda is a group of working horses bred for the ranch specifically to work and pen cattle. Visitors to this exhibit will also see an antique chuckwagon, the All American Futurity Starting Gates and more.
