AQHA Horseback Riding Program

The AQHA Horseback Riding Program tracks participant's hours in the saddle.

It is great to be recognized for time spent riding your horse. The majority of AQHA members already spend a lot of time in the saddle, and this is how AQHA can honor them for their dedication to riding.

  • Hours are earned taking riding lessons, trail riding, showing, training, exercising and/or doing ground work.
(This does not include grooming, feeding or health maintenance.)
  • All ages, skill levels and riding backgrounds can participate and are welcome.
  • The program has two divisions: the American Quarter Horse division and an All-Breeds division.
  • All participants can purchase an exclusive AQHA-logoed denim jacket.
  • Hours can easily be logged through the AQHA online member portal.

All participants must maintain an individual AQHA or AQHYA membership. AQHA membership provides a variety of invaluable benefits from exclusive partner discounts to programs, competitions and events. We strive to provide world-class resources to our members no matter where you are in your journey.
