General Guidelines and Payout

  1. The 3-year-old western pleasure stakes class entry fee is $400, with $300 returned to the purse, plus $5,000 added. The stakes class will be held as a L2 and L3 exhibitor class RUN CONCURRENTLY.  This class is mandatory for consideration as WPC eligible.

  2. The target purse for the composite placings of WPC is to be determined, based upon industry fundraising efforts. All purse money for the WPC generated will be split 50% - 50% between L2 and L3 declarations, regardless of the number of entries in L2 and L3.

  3. L2- and L3-exhibitors must declare the level at which they will compete to determine payouts. Exhibitors may not ride for both monies.

  4. Since AQHA already offers payback in the 2-year-old, junior L2 and L3, and senior L2 and L3 western pleasure classes, there will be no additional money added to those purses. Note: There are no additional entry fees required in these classes specific to the WPC.

  5. The payout scale, for the 3-year-old stakes and the WPC, will be as follows:
