Hes Judgeandjury, a homebred 4-year-old Hes Relentless gelding and the sport's champion 2-year-old in 2022, is one of five aged sprinters entered in Saturday's 440-yard, $40,000-added Bank of America Los Alamitos Championship Challenge (G2) at Los Alamitos Racecourse.
Trained by Heath Taylor for owners Steve Holt and Jeff Jones, Hes Judgeandjury will be stretching out in distance off of his fifth-place finish, one length behind winner El Aventurero, in the July 7, 300-yard Independence Day Stakes at Los Alamitos. The gelding has won six of 18 races and has earned $1,980,036, and his three wins at the classic 440-yard distance include a neck victory in American Quarter Horse racing's richest and most prestigious stakes, the Grade 1, $3-million All American Futurity at Ruidoso Downs in 2022.
Hes Judgeandjury is a half brother to 2022 world champion Empressum. The sorrel gelding drew post 3 and will be ridden by Rodrigo Vallejo.
